Focus Groups are a great chance to meet around key themes:
* 'Exploring Confirmation' ran Sept 2018 - Feb 2019 as a very honest, open and practical look
at what it means to live the Christian life. This culminated in a special opportunity for anyone
who wanted to to be confirmed in their faith. 5 young people took the opportunity and their
Confirmation was celebrated in a special service February 17th 2019 with Bishop of Willesden,
the Rt. Rev'd Pete Broadbent. It was great to see the church packed out including more than
50 young people from diverse backgrounds, as around 200 people came to the service.
* 'Exploring Worship' Running since mid-Feb 2019, this has involved us in a variety of worship
services as well as our own group work. Thinking about: what worship actually is and what it
involves; how aspects of corporate worship could be helpful (or unhelpful) for different people;
how people experience physical space, sound, light and colour; teamwork and participation
vs. spectator sport or concert audience; and has challenged us to think of what roles we can take
in our services, and what we can all bring to God in worship - rather than consumer approach.
* We ran our 1st YOUTH-LED SERVICE 2ND JUNE 2019 .. 35 Young People Came !! *
* Our Next YOUTH-LED SERVICE : 'ADVENT-URE' @ ST ALBAN'S : this SUNDAY 6pm! *
Group members can access mentoring and coaching support through the week [see above tab]
