The joy and peace of Christmas feels distant from the national unrest around us. Although the result of the election is unknown at the time of writing, we know that nativity plays, carol services and concerts may be disrupted by polling stations and political campaigning. Even a cursory look at the news would suggest that peace is a long way away. But this was the story of Christmas. It was a context of political turbulence and widespread danger across the Middle East; into this world of fear and violence came a promise that the light shines in the darkness. Whatever your situation this Christmas, we wish you peace, and warmly invite you to share our Christmas celebrations to hear the story for yourselves.
