Messy Church takes place at St Alban’s on the first Sunday of most months from 4-6pm in the Church hall. We love welcoming children with their families and carers to this, some who travel a fair distance to be with us. We’re told we’re one of the best Messy Churches in Northwest London!
Every time the structure is the same: we do a wide variety of craft activities for about an hour, then we move into church for an informal time of worship with story-telling and singing, and then we come back into the hall for tea for everyone.
Over the last few months we’ve had themes of the true vine, God’s busy week, Lost in the wilderness, and Daniel in the Lion’s Den – when we made biscuits with a popcorn mane!
Our next Messy Church is on 1 July when we’ll be thinking about David and Goliath and having a picnic tea in the courtyard garden. After that we’ll be breaking for the summer holidays and will meet again on 7th October.
Remembering how music makes you feel.
Icing house shaped biscuits and remembering all those who
are homeless around the world.
Making bead crosses and remembering Jesus
Making manacles and chains.
Remembering those imprisoned and held in places they don't want to be
An experiment with bubbles... Remembering how you feel when you are angry
