Passport : Open Youth Club / Drop-In run by young people for young people [school years 6-13]
Saturdays 5 - 8.30pm. St Alban's Church Halls. All Welcome!
New Youth Club Timings: 5 - 7pm [ Yrs. 6 - 8 ] 6.30 - 8.30pm [ Yrs. 9 - 13 ]
Passport is designed as a safe, welcoming, relaxing environment where young people can escape
from the stresses and pressures of other contexts, be themselves, have fun, make friends, develop
skills and life-learn together through a range of opportunities and activities - such as:
*big summer active, *leadership projects, *table tennis, *pool, *arts 'n crafts, *sports, *music,
*board games, *Wii games, *nail & beauty bar, *team games & challenges, *cooking & eating together!
Passport reflects key youth work themes such as identity, community and membership;
journey and maps; goals/destinations; and access to new opportunities.
From December 2018 each young person will have their own Passport booklet full of
inspiration which they can use to log personal information, set goals, map progress,
and access a range of partner opportunities and rewards.
VIDEO PROJECT: So, we had 24 hours to create and submit a video pitch to a Dragon's Den - style funding panel for some sports sessions for girls and young women who weren't very active :) all i had was a smartphone and got a free trial of some software (seemed great.. until i came to save it when i was told maximum length could only be 3 mins!!) - but best of all i had my young people from the youth club :) None of us had ever done anything like this before..
