St Alban North Harrow

Information for the Induction Service

We are looking forward to welcoming you this Friday evening.

You Tube

Our service will be livestreamed on our YouTube Channel, which you can find here. If you subscribe to our channel now, you'll be alerted when the service starts. If you are attending the service in person and do not wish to be on camera simply take your seat in the rear of the church.

Getting to us

The church will be open from 7pm ready for a 7.30pm start. We do encourage you to car share or, ideally, use public transport to reach us. We have very limited parking in our car park but there is free street parking in the surrounding areas. To find out more please click here

Holy Communion

The service will include Holy Communion, and so all those who usually receive communion in their churches would be most welcome to receive. Gluten free wafers are available - please let us know before the service if possible and then ask when you go forward to receive. As we do not intinct (dip the bread in the wine), you may wish to receive just the bread at communion. If you wish to have Communion brought to you in the pew please make a sidesperson or warden aware.

Those of other faiths or none are warmly invited to receive a prayer of blessing: please just come up and bow your head, keeping your hands at your sides.  You are also welcome to remain seated during communion.

Sharing the peace and British Sign Language

The service will be fully interpreted into British Sign Language by our home team. There will be a pew reserved at the front and on the right for this purpose. In these Covid times, we are delighted to share the peace with one another using British Sign Language.

Covid Safety

We currently encourage everyone to wear a face covering inside during our services, and to keep 1m social distance. We expect a larger congregation than usual, but are blessed with a large building so we should still be able to permit distancing as required. There will be hand sanitiser and face coverings available at church. Please keep your face covering in place when moving through to the hall and when not drinking or eating. Our hall leads onto a courtyard and we will be keeping both church and hall well ventilated.

Please do not attend if:

Should you require any support before, during or after the service, please do ask our Wardens: Alison Vallance, Adrian Holloway and Gerry Devine, or any of the other Church representatives at the back of Church.  They will be happy to help.
