During a christening your child will be baptized. It's the first step of an amazing journey with God, parents, godparents, friends, family and the church. You don't have to have been christened yourself, and you don't have to have been a regular churchgoer.
In bringing your child to baptism, you will be making a decision to start your child on a lifelong journey of faith. Together with your godparents and their new church family you will make promises for this new journey. You can find out all about the meaning of the service here. At St Albans we baptise children at our main Sunday Service on the 3rd Sunday of each month.
We also welcome adults who want to be baptised. We always work with either parents or adult baptism candidates to talk through the service and to prepare for this very special celebration.
Please contact either the vicar or the parish office to talk further about baptism and complete the form below.
