Everything we do at St Albans is made possible by your giving. Thank you. If you're a new member of St Albans you can find out more about why we give on our Stewardship Page

Because of your support we can continue to run our Sunday services and Alpha online, and still aim to be at the centre of our community life by running and maintaining our hall for local groups.

Concerned about a vulnerable person giving? Please find more information here.

Monthly giving is vital to the day by day running of this church and the furtherance of our mission.

To set up or amend a standing order, please contact our Church Fund Secretary Norman Shurrock who will be in touch to give you all the information you need.

If you already have set up an iKnow church account with us, that will allow you to make payments direct or via the iKnow church app.

Many employers offer Payroll Giving which allows you to give directly to St Albans from your salary before tax is deducted. This means if you give £100 per month and are a basic rate taxpayer, the gift will only cost you £80 from your net pay. If you pay a higher rate of tax, £100 a month will only cost you £60 from your net pay. To find out if your employer offers Payroll Giving, contact your HR office.

You may wish to give to St Albans via a charitable aid agency such as StewardshipCAFCharities Trust, or Charitable Giving. These agencies are useful for those who give to multiple charities and wish to have their giving recorded in one place or for those who wish to give anonymously to St Albans.

If you are considering making a bequest to St Albans or have already included a gift to St Albans in your will and would like to speak to someone about legacy giving, please contact our Church Fund Secretary Norman Shurrock

To give via cheque, please make the cheque out to ‘St Albans Church North Harrow’ and either give it via an envelope at a Sunday service or send it to our Church Fund Secretary Norman Shurrock at our parish office address at the bottom of this page.

Please note, due to Covid-19 restrictions your cheque might not be processed and banked in the next few months. If at all possible, we would be so grateful if you could try online giving instead.

Many employers offer matched giving schemes. In most cases, the company will match your donation pound-for-pound up to a specific amount; a handful of organisations will even double your gift. You can download a list of companies here that we understand currently match gifts donated by their employees. This list is not definitive, and many more companies may also offer this option.

If your employer is not listed, please contact the Human Resources or Social Responsibility Office at your workplace to find out if they operate a matched giving scheme: please bear in mind some employers may not match giving for religious purposes.

How will St Albans use your information?

The information you provide when you give will be used to process your gift, thank you, recover gift aid (where relevant) and keep you up to date with what is happening in the life of the church. For more information on how we use your data, please view our privacy policy. You can unsubscribe or amend your communication preferences at any time by emailing the parish office or accessing your iKnow account if you have one.

Gift Aid

As Saint Alban's Church is a registered charity ( Charity number 1132600), if you are a UK taxpayer and liable to pay income tax or capital gains tax, you can enhance your giving to the Church, at no cost to yourself, by signing up to GIFT AID, which enables the Church to claim from Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC) an additional 25% on the value of your giving. There is a proviso that you must be liable to pay tax up to the total value of your giving in any one tax year. If you are liable for tax at rates higher than standard rate, 20%, extra concessions are available and we would give details on request.

Please note that, even if you don't complete a tax return, it doesn't mean that you are not paying tax!

Please contact the Church Fund Secretary:

Norman Shurrock    for more information.
